The RSRI Short Film Event 2026 provides an opportunity for filmmakers, students, creators and storytellers to present original short films that communicate meaningful ideas and perspectives.
Through cinema, participants can highlight social issues, human values, innovation, culture, environment and community experiences.
Film Festival Essentials
Film Duration
Each submitted short film should have a duration between 5 and 20 minutes.
File Size
Maximum submission file size is 2 GB.
Resolution
Minimum recommended resolution is 1920 × 1080 Full HD.
Entry Fee
Registration fee is ₹300 per entry.
Event Date
14 November 2026 at REST Campus.
Recommended Format
MP4 video using H.264 encoding is recommended.

General Rules
- Films should be original works.
- Films should follow the event theme.
- Submitted films must not violate applicable laws.
- Participants are responsible for obtaining required permissions.
- The decision of the jury will be treated as final.
- Participants should provide accurate registration information.
